François Barrault was from 2004 to 2008 a member of the Board of Directors of British Telecom PLC and CEO of British Telecom Global Services, a subsidiary of British Telecom (17 billion dollars in turnover, 37,000 employees in 176 countries).

 

He led the rapid development of British Telecom Global Services to become the world leader in networked IT services through the acquisition of 32 companies in 4 years. At the same time, he led “BT Innovate”, the innovation division of the British Telecom group, and also launched and sponsored numerous partnerships with leading universities in the US and England.

 

François has been President of the DigiWorld Institute since 2011.

 

François is a member of several Boards of Directors of public and private companies, advisory boards of more than twenty organizations as well as Senior Advisor of a dozen investment funds and foundations.

 

He regularly speaks at the World Economic Forum in Davos and many other regional forums. He teaches in several prestigious universities (Columbia, Harvard, Mines Paris, Centrale…).
